Shipping Information

Cork Flooring Supply offers free shipping on orders of our cork flooring over 250 square feet! For those orders of cork accessories and flooring less than 250 sq ft, we do our best to determine the lowest possible shipping carrier and cost for your individual order.

What We Ship

Cork Flooring
Cork flooring cartons are heavy -- between 40 - 60 lbs each -- and shipments require a freight carrier with a liftgate. This can mean higher shipping costs. But we have established relationships with our carriers that result in savings passed on to you.

Cork Flooring Accessories
Our accessories include adhesive, finishes, and underlayment. Adhesives and finishes are contained in gallon-sized buckets and weight upwards of 25 lbs. Underlayment is either sold in sheets or rolls that often result in oversized packages. If the accessories in your order weigh less than 70 lbs and are less than 8' long, we will ship via UPS or USPS. We will determine the best shipping method to deliver your order on time at the most cost effective rate available.

Where We Ship From and To

Cork Flooring Supply currently ships to the continental United States. Please see below for Alaska and Hawaii shipments.

We ship our cork flooring and accessories from three U.S. warehouses:
  • Seattle, WA
  • Hayward, CA
  • Baltimore, MD

The warehouse your order will ship from depends upon the style of cork flooring or accessory that you order, and your final ship-to destination.

Alaska & Hawaii Shipments
Free Shipping on flooring orders (and other shipping promotions) does not apply to Alaska and Hawaii. However, we're happy to be able to offer fair shipping options to both states! Deliveries to Alaska and Hawaii require a manual shipping quote that our website is not quite equipped to calculate. Just give us a call at 800-674-1157, email us, or fill out our Shipping Estimate Form.

Canada Shipments
If you live in Canada, we may have a cost effective shipping method available for your order! Please call us at 800-674-1157, email us, or submit our Shipping Estimate Form to obtain a shipping quote.
Additional shipping fees, such as duties and custom fees may be added to the overall shipping charges of your order. Those charges might not be known at the time of processing your order and you could be charged additional customs, brokerage, and duties after your order has shipped.

How We Ship

Cork Flooring Supply offers three shipping options: UPS (no P.O. or APO/FPO), USPS and Freight LTL (less-than-truckload). The shipping option used for your order depends upon your destination location, the weight and size of the order, and the location of the warehouse the order is shipping from. 

UPS
A portion of our products can be shipped using UPS. These items are typically stocked in our warehouse, are smaller in size (less than 8' long), meet specific weight requirements (less than 70 lbs) and are not palletized.  Our cork flooring accessories like adhesive and some underlayment products will likely ship via UPS or USPS.

PLEASE NOTE: UPS will not ship to PO BOX addresses.

A portion of our products can be shipped using USPS. These items are stocked in our warehouse, are smaller in size (combined length is less than 108") and meet specific weight requirements (less than 70 lbs).

Freight LTL (less-than-truckload) - Includes FREE SHIPPING OF FLOORING ORDERS
Cork flooring and larger orders of underlayment, or heavy and long items (weighing more than 70 lbs and longer than 8') are palletized and shipped via Freight carriers. This is the preferred and most cost effective method for heavy palletized shipments. We will arrange pickup and delivery to your residential home or commercial address. 

RESIDENTIAL SHIPMENTS -- A typical residential delivery includes the following:

  • CALL-AHEAD or APPOINTMENT: A call from the local freight terminal 24 hours ahead to schedule a delivery window.
    It's essential for Cork Flooring Supply to have an active phone number for them to reach you. And you must be home to accept the delivery when they arrive.

  • CURBSIDE DELIVERY WITH LIFTGATE: this means the driver will pull the pallet(s) onto the truck liftgate, lower them to the ground, and pull them onto the curb or driveway. The driver is NOT required to bring them into the garage or house, or onto your porch.

    • It is the receiver's responsibility to take the shipment from the curb into the house (and out of the weather). Flooring usually weighs 40-70 lbs per box, so plan to have helpers on site who can carry that much weight.

    • It is vitally important to inspect the shipment to ensure that all the boxes or pieces are there, and to check for any damage. If you find damage to the actual product, TAKE PHOTOS and have the driver note the damage on the Bill of Lading paperwork before you sign it. This will make it much easier to make a claim to the freight company for replacement material. If you sign for the shipment and do not record damage, the order is yours and you and CFS will have a very difficult time reouping a portion of the cost of the damaged flooring.

      NOTE: If you find any damages to the packaging or the product, please CALL Cork Flooring Supply at 800-674-1157 immediately to handle the shipping issue on your behalf. We are required to report shipment damages within 72 hours.

  • TRACKING AND ETA: You will receive 2 shipping email notifications from Cork Flooring Supply when your order is shipped via Freight LTL:

    1. A Confirmed Shipping Date email once we arrange the pickup for your flooring order. We'll let you know where and when your order is being picked up and any ETA estimates we're provided. If you have not received this information from us within 48 business hours of your order, please feel free to give us a call or email to request it.

    2. A Shipping Confirmation + Tracking email once the order is picked up by the freight carrier and we have a tracking or PRO number.  

  • ETAs ARE ESTIMATED: Weather, truck breakdowns, human errors can all slow down a shipment unpredictably. While we will do everything in our power to remedy the issue quickly and keep you informed, we recommend that you DO NOT SCHEDULE INSTALLERS UNTIL AFTER YOUR MATERIAL HAS ARRIVED TO THE JOB SITE. We cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred in rescheduling installers or other job site delays.


When We Ship

Flooring orders received by 12 pm PST are processed on the same business day. This means that we determine the warehouse your order will ship from and choose the freight carrier that will pick up the order.

  • Once we book the shipping arrangements, the freight carrier will arrive to pick up your shipment within 1-2 business days.  At that time you will receive the first of two shipping confirmation emails letting you know the confirmed shipping date.  

  • When the freight carrier picks up your shipment and we're provided with a tracking or PRO number, you'll receive the second shipping confirmation with your tracking number and an ETA.  We are often able to provide an online resource to track your shipment as well.

Accessory orders received by 12 pm PST are processed on the same business day and ship within one to two business days. This means we will pack up your order and determine the most cost effective and timely method of shipment.

  • In general, if your order ships via UPS or USPS, you can expect your order in 2-8 days, excluding holidays.

  • Once UPS or USPS picks up your shipment and scans the package(s), you'll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking. The carrier may wait to scan the packages out at the end of the business day so you won't see the confirmation email until later that night.

  • Accessories that ship directly from the manufacturer or that require special shipping arrangements due to the total weight or size may require up to 2 business days for processing.

  • If you don't receive your shipping confirmation email within 48-72 hours, please check your spam or junk mail folder. If you still haven't received it, please reach out via phone (800-674-1157) or email.


Delivery and Lead Times
All delivery dates are estimates. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee specific deadlines.Although we work with trustworthy shipping companies, they can encounter unexpected shipping delays or damaged shipments. If this happens, we will work with you to correct the issue. You can trust that we will do everything in our power to make it right.
We recommend that you do not book installation until you receive your product.

I received the following error message when I estimated shipping or attempted to check out: "There are no shipping methods available for your order..."
We're sorry for the inconvenience! This error message occurs when our website is unable to match your order with a predetermined shipping method. It usually means that the items in your cart combined are too heavy for our parcel carriers (UPS and USPS) or that our shipment booking system for flooring orders chose a carrier that doesn't deliver to your address. NOT TO WORRY - we can manually book the shipment and take your order over the phone. Please call us at 800-674-1157 to complete your order and we'll find you the most cost effective shipping method!
